Itineraries

Day 1

Fly to Chengdu

Accommodation: Chengdu Tianfu Joyhub Cheer Hotel 5* (Airport Branch) or equivalent

 

Day 2

Flight from Chengdu to Xining - Ta’er Temple - Board Tibet Train

Accommodation: On train (Soft Sleeper)

Meals: Breakfast (Lunch & Dinner self-arranged on train)

 

Take a morning flight from Chengdu to Xining. In Xining, visit the Ta'er Monastery before boarding the renowned Qinghai-Tibet train to Lhasa. This journey takes approximately 21 hours and offers a unique experience of the majestic scenery of the Tibetan Plateau. 

 

Day 3

Train arrives Lhasa - Rest

Accommodation: Lhasa Shangri-La 5* Hotel or equivalent

Meals: Lunch & Dinner (Breakfast self-arranged on train)

 

In the evening, the train will arrive in Lhasa, where the guide will pick you up at the train station and transfer you to your hotel for rest. Lhasa sits at an altitude of approximately 3,650 meters. Upon arrival at the high plateau, it is advised to avoid strenuous activities and eat moderately. 

 

Day 4

Potala Palace - Jokhang Temple - Barkhor Street Tibetan Costume Photography

Accommodation: Lhasa Shangri-La 5* Hotel or equivalent

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 

Visit the Potala Palace, the world's highest palace that combines palaces, castles, and temples into one. The Jokhang Temple is one of the most splendid surviving buildings from the Tubo period. Afterward, explore the Barkhor Street and its free market, where you can admire the ancient Tibetan architecture and observe the local Tibetan way of life. Enjoy your exploration of Lhasa's rich cultural heritage! 

 

Day 5

Lhasa - Yamdrok Lake - Karola Glacier - Shigatse

Accommodation: Shigatse Hilton 5* Hotel or equivalent

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 

In the eyes of Tibetans, yamdrok lake resembles a turquoise earring scattered by a goddess among the peaks. With an elevation of 4441 meters, the lake's water is crystal clear and smooth as a mirror. 

 

Day 6

Shigatse - Tashilhunpo Temple - Everest Town

Accomodation: Pingcuo Kangsang oxygen-enriched 4* hotel or equivalent

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 

Upon arriving at Everest Town, you can admire the grandeur of the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest, up close, and feel the awe and beauty of nature. In Everest Town, if the weather is clear, there is a chance to witness the spectacular sight of the Golden Summit at sunrise. 

 

Day 7

Everest Town - Everest Base Camp - Shigatse

Accommodation: Shigatse Hilton 5* Hotel or equivalent

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 

From Everest Town, we journey to the Everest Base Camp, situated at an elevation of 5,200 meters. This journey will take you to the roof of the world, offering a close-up view of the majestic and grand Mount Everest.

Day 8

Shigatse - Lhasa - Chengdu

Accommodation: Chengdu Tianfu Joyhub Cheer Hotel 5* (Airport Branch) or equivalent

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

From Shigatse, we will head to Lhasa, traveling along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway. Upon reaching Lhasa, you will take a flight to Chengdu, which takes approximately 2 hours. Once in Chengdu, guests can self check-in to the airport hotel for a brief rest.

*Note: If the flight is canceled for unforeseen reason, the hotel fee in Chengdu will be non-refundable.

Day 9

Lhasa - Chengdu Tianfu International Airport

Self check out according to each specific flight time and board your international flight to return home safely.
