Driving Distance: About 380km, ~ 6 hours
Be ready at your pick-up location in Reykjavik at 08:00 a.m. (pick-up may take up to 30 minutes). Today covers the Golden Circle and South Coast highlights, starting at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to Iceland’s first parliament. Continue to the geothermal area of Geysir and the erupting Strokkur, then visit the iconic Gullfoss Waterfall. Drive along the south coast to Seljalandsfoss (walk behind the falls, rainwear recommended), Skógafoss with its 60-meter drop, and Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach with basalt columns and Reynisdrangar stacks. Overnight is near Kirkjubæjarklaustur, with a chance to see the Northern Lights (Sept–Apr).

Today’s adventure takes you past Mýrdalsjökull Glacier (hiding the volcano Katla) and across the moss-covered Eldhraun lava field, before arriving at Vatnajökull National Park, home to Europe’s largest glacier. Continue to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon to see massive icebergs floating in the lagoon, then visit nearby Diamond Beach, where icebergs rest on black volcanic sands. Overnight is in Southeast Iceland, ideal for spotting the Northern Lights (Sept–Apr).

Today we explore Iceland’s Eastfjords, with dramatic peaks, quiet fjords, and coastal villages where reindeer and puffins may appear. Stop at Egilsstaðir, East Iceland’s largest town by the Lagarfljót River, then continue to the fishing village of Djúpivogur, known for its outdoor artworks and sustainable lifestyle. Spend the afternoon at the Wilderness Center, experiencing restored farmhouses, local exhibitions (free entry), and meals made from fresh ingredients. End the day relaxing in the traditional hot spring spa before settling into historic accommodation.

Driving Distance: About 320km, ~ 5.5 hours
Today we travel from East to North Iceland, starting at Stuðlagil Canyon with its striking basalt columns and turquoise waters (winter access may vary). Continue to the Námaskarð geothermal area with steaming mud pools and colorful mineral deposits, then around Lake Mývatn with its volcanic islands. Optional relaxation at Earth Lagoon (Jan–Mar: Forest Lagoon) is available. Explore the dramatic Dimmuborgir lava formations before visiting the crescent-shaped Goðafoss Waterfall, and finally arrive at Akureyri for overnight, with a chance to see the Northern Lights (Sept–Apr).
Myvatn Nature Baths are not included in the package and must be paid for separately as an optional extra.
From Jan–Mar 2026, we’ll visit Forest Lagoon instead of Mývatn Nature Baths, which will be closed for renovations.

Driving Distance: About 230km, ~ 4 hours
Today we will travel along the scenic Tröllaskagi (Troll Peninsula), visiting Siglufjörður, a colorful historic fishing village, and passing through rural farming areas toward Laugarbakki. En route, enjoy stops at Skagafjörður Fjord with its islands and coastal views. Overnight is at a small hotel in Laugarbakki, with a chance to see the Northern Lights in winter.

Driving Distance: About 180km, ~ 3 hours
On the final day, explore West Iceland’s Borgarfjörður area, starting with a short hike up Grábrók volcano crater for panoramic views of lava fields. Visit Reykholt to see Snorralaug, the hot spring pool of saga writer Snorri Sturluson, then Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring. Continue to Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls, followed by a visit to Sturlureykir horse farm to meet friendly Icelandic horses. Return to Reykjavík via the scenic Hvalfjörður (Whale Fjord), arriving around 5–6 p.m.
