Driving Distance: About 200km, ~ 4.5 hours
We’ll pick you up at 9:00 A.M. from your hotel or chosen pickup point in Reykjavik (pick-up may take up to 30 minutes) and begin the day at Borgarnes, a village rich in Viking history, followed by the majestic Gerðuberg basalt columns and the golden-sand beach at Ytri Tunga. Continue to Búðir, a picturesque hamlet on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, then Arnarstapi for lunch. Afterward, explore Vatnshellir Cave (optional, extra cost), an 8,000-year-old lava tube with fascinating formations, or visit the free Malarrif Visitor Centre and lighthouse. The day ends at the black sand Djúpalónssandur Beach, famous for a 1948 shipwreck, before checking in at Hellissandur Adventure Hótel (or similar). From late September to early April, you may also have the chance to see the Northern Lights, weather permitting.

Driving Distance: About 230km, ~ 5 hours
After breakfast, visit the photogenic Mount Kirkjufell, famous as a Game of Thrones filming location, then make a short stop at Grundarfjörður for refreshments. Continue to Hraunfossar and Barnafoss Waterfalls, followed by the historic Reykholt, home to the hot spring Snorralaug. Next, explore Sturlureykir Horse Farm, meet friendly Icelandic horses, and see geothermal-powered farm life. The day ends at Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring, before returning to Reykjavik by around 6:00 P.M.

Driving Distance: About 320km, ~ 6 hours
Today’s tour covers the Golden Circle and southern highlights. Start at Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the historic Althingi parliament and Lake Thingvallavatn, then continue to Haukadalur Valley to see the geothermal area and the erupting Strokkur Geyser. Next, visit the majestic Gullfoss Waterfall, followed by Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, where a short path takes you behind the 60-meter cascade (waterproof clothing recommended). Along the way, enjoy views of Hekla Volcano. If conditions are favorable, the evening concludes with a chance to see the Northern Lights, before checking in near Kirkjubæjarklaustur.

Driving Distance: About 200km, ~ 3.5 hours
Today we journey east through rural landscapes and moss-covered lava fields to embark on glacier adventures. Explore Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and nearby Diamond Beach, where icebergs float or rest on black sand, sometimes with seals nearby. Continue to Skaftafell and Vatnajökull Glacier, Europe’s largest glacier, for a guided glacier hike and ice cave visit. Strap on crampons to explore crevasses, moulins, and stunning ice formations—weather permitting, as the activity may be adjusted for safety. End the day in Kirkjubæjarklaustur, with a chance to see the Northern Lights if conditions allow.

Driving Distance: About 380km, ~ 6 hours
After breakfast, head back to Reykjavik along Iceland’s south coast, visiting highlights such as Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon (if road conditions permit), the Eldhraun lava field, Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach with its basalt cave and Reynisdrangar stacks, and Skógafoss Waterfall, where you can climb 527 steps for panoramic views. After the South Coast tour, we’ll begin the journey back to Reykjavík. We’ll have a chance to visit more sites as we travel through the south back to the city. We’ll get back to Reykjavík between 16:00 (4:00 p.m.) and 19:00 (7:00 p.m.).
